The Tax Justice and Governance Platform (TJGP) is a broad-based coalition of 19 subnational platforms across Nigerian states. We work to promote fair, just, equitable and progressive tax systems in Nigeria for sustainable development, with a focus on transparency, equity, and citizen engagement in tax administration.

There are several ways to get involved with our work. You can volunteer, participate in our events and workshops, join our advocacy campaigns, or partner with us as an organization. Contact our national secretariat or your nearest state office to discuss specific opportunities for engagement.

We offer a wide range of resources including research papers, policy briefs, reports, fact sheets, and presentations on tax justice issues. These resources are available through our publications section on the website. We also conduct workshops, seminars, and training sessions for various stakeholders.

We influence tax policy through evidence-based research, policy advocacy, stakeholder engagement, public awareness campaigns, and capacity building. We work with government agencies, civil society organizations, media, and other stakeholders to promote progressive tax reforms that benefit all Nigerians.

While we focus primarily on systemic tax justice issues at the policy level, we can provide general guidance and resources on tax matters. For specific individual tax issues, we recommend consulting with a qualified tax professional. However, we welcome information about systemic issues that individuals face, as they help inform our advocacy work.
